Firewall Setup

You have several options to setup a firewall under SoL 25:

[edit] Firestarter

This is probably the most convenient and easy way to setup a firewall. It provides a simple and nice GUI that makes it possible to configure a firewall in no time. For more information, see http://www.fs-security.com

[edit] Shorewall

Shorewall is also included on SoL 25, the configuration files are located at /etc/shorewall. For more information, see http://www.shorewall.net

[edit] iptables

iptables is, after all, the heart of every firewall frontend anyway, so, if you feel comfortable with it, you might as well want to create a script of your own, which you could for example start in the runlevel scripts. For more information, read the iptables manpage or http://www.netfilter.org/
